Ten Bucks
Because I had a $10 voucher, we went a little overboard!
We both thought the servings were all 'pew-nee' but we were so wrong!
We went back feeling so stuffed but we did pause for a slice of carrot cake @ Coffee Bean whilst walking back to the car park. The sista came by to join us for a short while. The carrot cake @ Coffee Bean is not as good as compared to our favourite @ Olio Dome. We'll leave that for another day...weekend maybe!

A Little Indulgent
Felt a little generous this year and decided to indulge the family in a little 'high-end' abalone! Went for the top of the range - Da ones from Mexico! Heh! Its indulgent alright...priced @ $75 and $80 per can. But hey! We gotta pamper ourselves once in awhile..especially since I haven't tried the ones from Mexico before so what the heck! Passed by Hock Hua and grabbed 3 cans of New Moon Australian Abalones as well. Its gonna be one reunion dinner I will remember!
(Gosh! Its just 6 days to the Lunar New Year..)

Soup Anyone?
A recent visit to The Soup Spoon left me craving for this;
French Ratatouille (Vegetarian / Dairy)
A celebration of the best of French cuisine. This beautiful vegetable stew is thick with wide array of colorful vegetables indeed a feast for the eyes. Potatoes, carrots, french beans, eggplant, cauliflower, zucchini and fresh peas married with plump, juicy tomatoes stewed to tender perfection and seasoned with fresh herbs. Indeed lavish yet nutritious.

Its on the weekly menu which means it will only be there for 2 weeks!

10Cents More..
The price of my regular cup of Kopi-Si-Kosong has just gone above $1.... This is served in a paper cup and @ a coffeeshop a.k.a canteen...Its $1.10 (w.e.f 04.08.08) The reason why I don't make my own in the office cuz it stains my cup real badly..and its all brownish after awhile..damn gross! I tried using a thermos-looking mug and it will also stain..but lesser... I think I've gotta decide whether I wanna continue paying $1.10 or just make my own...

Shiro Japanese Haute Cuisine.Stuart Anderson Black Angus Steakhouse
I had the most delicious and amazing surprise birthday lunch @ Shiro . It was a real pity that I didn't take any pictures @ all..the place felt kinda 'atas' and the wait-staff were close to 'hovering' around us.. Nevertheless, it was really really good and I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch..especially so when he is one who only takes cooked food..but he tried the sashimi for my sake! Ok..his face cringed alittle and I'm quite sure he could only deal with the sweet shrimp..minus the other stuff - Scallop! It was a 5-course lunch which consisted of Grilled Salmon-Sashimi-Sesame Tofu-Unagi-Chestnut Pudding. There was an ala-carte offer of the Baby Trout Fish stuffed with Prawn Paste.. He had the Tempura instead of the Unagi. Yumz! Pictures of the place can be found here. Black Angus was next for dinner! K. and E. joined us and again...I didn't take any pictures...we were all way too hungry especially when something cropped up and they were late!....for like an hour...Bleh! E. bought some really pretty acessories for me..will post pictures of that later..and presents from everyone...

Waraku.NewSign.A Clue.
This was dinner last night..a mini briefing session for the upcoming wedding...(not mine, my cousin R & F) Needed to run through the day's programe and my areas of responsiblity! We couldn't start till like 845pm cuz they (Bride & Groom) were so blur that they ended up @ the wrong location. Our initial meet-up was @ Marina Square but somehow or rather, I dunno why they ended up @ Suntec City. Thankfully, its within walking distance. I can't imagine if it was somewhere else..haha! Apart from that, I got home and tried to 'dig' some clues on where he would be taking me for lunch on my birthday! We are spending the day together esp since he isn't due to start work @ the new place so I left the day's planning to him. It seems that we are doing Jap for lunch..the clue is in this; TimeOut Singapore Magazine! This talks about where are the best places to eat the different kinds of food..Under the Jap section; there are 4 places..namely; Aoki, Akashi @ Orchard Parade, Shiro and Sun Japanese Dining. Nope, its not the last one..Hmm..except he says there is dress-code wor! Guess I won't know till then..
Another update:My estate has new signs! Now it makes searching for the block so much easier. Now to see if I can score a picture with the sign lighted..which means I need to go for after-dinner walks!

Beulah.Meredith.Oosters.AzabuSabo.HajiLane.ZamZam.HoneyPot.
Lotsa Updates & Loads of Peektures;
Dropped by e. place to pass her stuff and return her S.A.T.C dvds..then hopped over to see my cousin M and her daughter Meredith - lunch generously provided..also got to see her new place. Oosters with a galfren on a friday evening..mussels..booze..fries...sausages..yumz! We planning to go back soon..like really soon...haha! That didn't stop us from heading to Azabu Sabo as our 2nd stop! He brought me to Haji Lane and we took the car lift @ Golden Landmark Hotel! So fun! We saw lotsa vintage stuff over there and me, as usual resisted the urge to spend any moolah! Very hard but I succeeded...heh! Then we crossed over and bought the very-very-delicious-cum-popular-nasi-briyani from Singapore Zam Zam Restaurant! Its really good but regretted buying 2 packets..It was way way way too much! Next time, we will just get 1 packet and 'jia liao' from there!!
Finale: I went for my virgin B.W!
