P.S I Love You
Both of us have been wanting to watch this and we finally did! The various trips to the store have always left us disappointed until last evening where he managed to grab a copy before it got loaned out! Woots! Friends have been telling us to watch this cuz it depicts so much of our 'real' life! I mean the relationship part...the connection...
Ok. Now we know why!

Ok. Now we know why!

This is a beautiful story and I thoroughly enjoyed it very much! Go watch it.
Holly Kennedy is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life - a passionate, funny, and impetuous Irishman named Gerry. So when Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry. So it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of letters that will guide her, not only through her grief, but in rediscovering herself. The first message arrives on Holly's 30th birthday in the form of a cake, and to her utter shock, a tape recording from Gerry, who proceeds to tell her to get out and "celebrate herself". In the weeks and months that follow, more letters from Gerry are delivered in surprising ways, each sending her on a new adventure and each signing off in the same way; P.S. I Love You. Holly's mother and best friends begin to worry that Gerry's letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly embarks on a journey of rediscovery in a story about marriage, friendship and how a love so strong can turn the finality of death into a new beginning for life.

And indulging in a tub of Ben & Jerry's!
Which resulted in me having a sore throat now!

Nights In Rodanthe
Richard Gere and Diane Lane reunite on screen in the romantic drama “Nights in Rodanthe,” based on the Nicholas Sparks best-selling novel about two people who discover there is always a second chance to find the love of your life. Adrienne (Diane Lane), a woman still reeling from her husband’s betrayal and struggling to rebuild a life without him, has just learned that he wants to come home. Torn by conflicting feelings, she welcomes the chance for escape when an old friend asks her to manage her inn in Rodanthe for a weekend. There, on a remote spot along the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Adrienne hopes to find the tranquility she needs to rethink her life. It’s the off-season and the inn would be shuttered but for the unlikely arrival of its solitary guest, Paul (Richard Gere), a doctor from the city. A man who long ago sacrificed his family to his career, Paul has come to Rodanthe to fulfill a difficult obligation and to face his own crisis of conscience.
I've been meaning to watch this since I saw the trailer more than a month ago...and finally I managed to catch it last night...sadly when the movie run was gonna end I think...Better late than never..
(Richard Gere still looks quite 'yummy' @ his age)

Movie Night
HairSpray was good last night! Caught the movie @ VivoCity last evening. We had complimentary tix and my, it was good! I enjoyed very much. The preview was sponsored by Borneo Motors and it was a good turnout, I would say.

Some of the directional 'signs' that were placed at the theatre..guiding people to the preview.. and a little party pack - Coke and Pop Corn (complete with customised packaging)
Oh yes, the party packs were placed on the seats and ready when we got in..
As the show only started at 940pm, we had dinner at Kim Gary and lucky for us, we got there early and had a seat. Haha! The foodies we had..DELICIOUS!

Iced Yin Yang (blend of coffee & tea) and Iced Logan with Aloe Vera
The infamous French Toast (Sai Toh See)
Hot Plate Pork Chop/Chicken Chop (erm. cant remember which but it was good)
Baked Spagetti with Mixed Grill (This one's special cuz its curry based and not tomato)
All in all, it was a great night with good food and a good movie!! Although we got back real late and finally fell asleep @ 130am!
