Week Before
The past week has been somewhat really sucky! Me coming down with a viral fever and having to deal with a blood test! Aarrgghh! The virus strikes you as and when it feels like it! One minute I could be all okay and the next, have me dealing with a terrible headache and the temperature would just creep up. Needless to say, the weekend was quite screwed as I didn't want to really go anywhere but stay in bed...and by then, the fever didn't seem to wanna go away and the 2nd doctor recommended a blood test. Thankfully, all is in the clear except white blood count seems alittle low but its normal as the doc says. Here I am, back at work and all is good now! Can't wait to watch SING Dollar tomorrow night! Woots!

For My Friends - Past, Present and Future
Birthday is over and I've grown older, hopefully wiser.
As I think back over the past year, I have met all sorts of people and dealt with situations... of different sorts - good, bad, strange... Things I have learnt to deal with and things that I cannot control. The past year has been great and I know it will get better! Sometimes its sad to hear of stuff that makes you totally sad but there isn't anything you can do about it...and if you do, it could make things worse. But then again, some might say; you never know until you try. For me, I choose not to as I am quite sure it will go into a 'war' of some sort. I have been there and trust me, its not nice. At the end of the day, you ask yourself why? I read the 90/10 principal by Stephen Covey -
"Be who you are & say what you feel
- Thank you gals for being with me all this while....

"10% of your life is made up of what happens to you
90% of your life is decided by how you react"
- you can't control that 10% but you can control the 90%
It does change the you think and react. All in all, it's a simple principal and it makes people around you happier, yourself too! Friends are plenty but only those who know the 'real' you are those you would like to keep for a long time. Came across this interesting but very true verse/statement;
"Be who you are & say what you feel
Those who mind don't matter and Those who matter don't mind"
- Thank you gals for being with me all this while....

Quiet
Traffic was really really smooth today....There were not many cars and even the radio announced it was smooth traffic at all of the major expressways....no congestion of whatsoever. Sky is awfully dark now..and its raining badly at some parts of Singapore-so bad that its almost pitch dark!
Psst. Maybe they knew it was gonna be a rainy day, which explains the lack of people going to work today...Hmmm...

Fourteen February Year Two Zero Zero Nine
4 months have passed and I can still remember that special day where it all happened! It has taken me some time to decide to pen it down… I wasn’t quite sure about sharing this here especially since the ‘deed’ itself sent both of us on an emotional ‘high’… Indeed the both of us have come a long way and make the big decision to spend the rest of our lives together. The memories-good and bad-heartaches as well as joys we have brought to each other…
Fourteen February Year Two Zero Zero Nine was D-Day…
It was a wonderful day, I must say. It was bright and cherry, me feeling all so proud of myself for the night before. Surprised him with a present that he wanted for a long time and at the same time, I was thinking; hmm… now how should I surprise him with part 2 of the present? He had already told me we were going away for awhile and I was definitely looking forward to that-since I had an early morning meeting! By the way, the venue itself was a surprise… so I had no idea till I called him right after the meeting. Traders Hotel it was; I got there and sat awhile in the car…wondering if I should make him come to the car park and help carry me bags. Good excuse to plant part 2 present in the boot! Yup! He came by and ‘promptly’ fell for the surprise! He was shocked and kept emphasizing that he didn’t get anything for me except we were staying for the weekend and going for dinner. That I made him feel bad and furthermore it was our anniversary… It didn’t matter to me, of course. Since I usually score better in the ‘surprise’ department… Heh!
He then started to tell me how terrible the room was; old and not classy looking…I shouldn’t be expecting like a nice room, with modern furnishings and stuff…. I kept assuring him that it was ok and how bad can it be, right? So when we got there, it didn’t appear half as bad as I thought… Put down my bags, did my usual tour of the room and checked out the toiletries. Felt a little warm and I turned up the air-con abit… then he asked me to go sit by the bed and I thought; YEH! I DO have a present…
He reached into his pocket and brought out a velvety box. The 1st thought I had was; Ooh! Earrings! I have been lemming for a pair for awhile! He went to say that he didn’t want me as his girl-friend anymore and straight-up asked me to be his wife. I was choking up whilst he said that and I didn’t quite let him finish and I cried. So lousy can!
All this while; the box was closed. (me thinks he was nervous) I made him open the box and I saw the prettiest little thing….

Chili's Once Again
Decided to glance through the 8 days magazine this morning and saw a 1/4 page advertisement of the 'then-defunct' Chili's Restaurant - realised they are re-opening on the 3rd of June at Tanglin Mall! Woo hoo! I remembered those days, way back in the 1990s, where they had an outlet at Boat Quay. A classmate of mine was working part-time and she kept recommending how cool and yummy the food was, nearly half the class paid a visit during the time she worked. Lo and behold! Our graduation dinner was held there! We booked out the 2nd floor of the restaurant and had loads of fun! It definitely brought back memories for me-good, funny and strange ones... That night was a time where we all saw one another doing silly things and it showed a different side of each and everyone... I am definitely going back to enjoy the food and hopefully its still good!
On the other hand, its the 4th day already...enjoying every minute of it except for the time where I have to remove the retainers....each and everytime I eat, brush teeth...Geez! But the discomfort is definitely worth it!!

Much Needed
So I went for a much-needed haircut earlier on and I was quite sure my stylist was on the verge of labelling my hair as 'H-A-Y'....
Because he couldn't find his regular stylist, he decided to give mine a go. Afterwhich I casually asked if it was a good cut? Of cuz, my dear friend insisted that his regular was much better! I seriously thought it was about the same and at a slightly lower price (with my member discount la).
On the other hand, I emerged from the salon feeling much lighter, great looking hair and I m a happy gal!!
